Camping at State and National Parks

Many of us tend to forget State parks when planning our camping trips. State parks are great places to camp since they are always clean, conveniently located, well maintained and safe spots for camping.

With a little bit of effort you can research all the local state parks within the distance you are willing to drive and you will be shocked at the choices you have at your finger tips. Decide on what all you are looking to get out of camping and go from there. Many local parks and recreation areas are great for families on a budget as they tend to be less expensive places to stay and provide an endless amount of activities for kids of all ages.

Camping at US National parks such as YellowStone in WY, you will experience the outdoors like nowhere else. The wildlife at Yellowstone national park makes this worldwide famous attraction one that should be on everyone's list. The national Redwood forest in California is a site to see. Gain a whole new appreciation for beauty and the outdoors at Yosemite. These are just to name a few as there are around 400 in the US to choose from.

Before making your decision on what national park you will go to, take time to do a little research on the History behind each national park in the area you will be considering. You will discover some surprising facts about history and what the national parks are doing to preserve it.
